Downtown Disney is a outdoor shopping center that opened on January 12th 2001 and connects both theme parks Disneyland with California Adventure as well as the three Disney owned hotels.
Downtown Disney features many shops big brands such as the World Of Disney store and Lego Store just to name a couple. The area is connected to Disneyland with a monorail stop and has a pretty good selection of restaurants.
I decided to check out Black Tap a restaurant that is known for burgers, beer and huge oversized milk shakes. I arrived at the restaurant just after its open at 11 am the staff were friendly and after paying for my lunch i got handed a pager and, sat down inside at the window to people watch while I waited.
The restaurant wasn’t busy as it had just opened so about ten wait staff stood together talking at one side of the restaurant but it wasn’t an issue as their talking was covered by the overhead music.
The pager buzzed and a server brought me the above food which for the money was okay but nothing special. The french fries looked good but were cold which i don’t know how that happens in a restaurant with more servers than customers. The burger itself was fine it was not salted and a little bland which you don’t expect from a place with an extensive burger menu.
In conclusion the food wasn’t bad it was just a little disappointing maybe i was just unlucky, i wouldn’t rule out visiting again and, hopefully get a better experience but in Downtown Disney with its many restaurant options it wont be in the near future.
